HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE VENUE

From Leonardo da Vinci Rome International Airport
Airport train to “Rome Tiburtina” or “Rome Termini” railway stations.

From either Tiburtina or Termini Stations
Take subway line “B” to the station Ponte Mammolo then public bus for “Tivoli Via Tiburtina” (leaving every 10/15 minutes). Bus stops close to the hotel entrance.get more information http://www.cotralspa.it/TrovaPercorso.asp

Or from Tiburtina Railway Station train to Tivoli Terme (approx. every hour). The station is at 15 km from the hotel (by taxi approx. 30 minutes).
Or from Tiburtina Station train to Bagni Station (hotel at 500 meters).

Highway
Milano/Firenze/Napoli Highway A1: exit “Roma Est” direction L’Aquila/Pescara then very close exit “Tivoli”. Take direction Rome, Hotel is at 4 km.

GRA, Great Rome Orbital Highway
Exit n. 13 “Via Tiburtina” direction Tivoli. Hotel is at 10 km
or:
Follow sign for “Roma/L’Aquila” Highway. Exit at “Settecamini CAR Centro Agroalimentare”; then follow direction “Tivoli – Via Tiburtina”
Take “Via Tiburtina” direction “Tivoli”. Hotel at 7 km.

By shuttle Bus
Is available a free service of shuttle bus from the subway station of Ponte Mammolo to the Grand Hotel Duca D'Este, the day of 7th October and vice versa the day of 9th October in the following hours:

Wednesday 7th October: from 2.30 pm to 9 pm (departures every 30 minutes)

Friday 9th October: 6,30 pm and 8,00 pm

Badge
An identification badge will be delivered to participants and their registered companions: it must be during conference days worn to get admittance to the conference rooms and all other events.

Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will be held in the Conference Room Colonnelle on Thursday October 8th at 9:00.
The Closing Ceremony will be held in the same room on Friday October 9th at 18:00.

Author’s slide centre
A slide centre is available for Authors who wish to check their .ppt presentation. Authors who have not previously forwarded their presentation by E-mail may download their .ppt in the same centre not later than the day before the presentation is due.

Language
Papers can be presented in Italian or English at Author’s choice.
Simultaneous translation on October 8th and 9th .

Lunch
Buffet lunches, included in the registration, will be available for participants and their companions on October 8th and 9th .

Exposition area
Starting on October 7th through October 9th in the Adriana Room of the Hotel Duca d’Este, a special area of exposition will be organized at Aicarr care. A good occasion for meetings between the industry and conference attendees.

COLLATERAL EVENTS 

On October 7th at Grand Hotel Duca d'Este, venue of the Convention, a pree-convention day in English has been organized.

International Seminar
Preminent event of the day is the International Associations Seminar "Improvement of Building Energy Efficiency", with the intervention of AICARR, ASHRAE, IIF/IIR and REHVA experts.

Other  events are:

- ASHRAE HVAC Professionals  Certification Programme presentation.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Classical Music Concert
An inauguration Concert will be held at the Grand Hotel Duca d’Este, seat of  the Conference, on Wednesday Octber 7th, 8pm.  Participants at the Conference and their registered companions are kindly invited to attend.
A buffet dinner will follow, a good occasion for old and new acquaintances.

Gala Dinner
A Gala Dinner will be held at the Gand Hotel Duca d’Este on the evening of October 8th, 8,30pm.
Participants at the Conference and their registered companions are kindly invited.
During the Gala Dinner “Tesi di Laurea” (degree thesis) awards will be assigned; special “25 year association” certificates will be delivered to members with 25 years’ seniority.

Grand hotel Duca d'Este, venue of the Conference, is a luxury hotel with a Congress Centre suitable to host more than 300 people in its ample conference room and other smaller rooms ideal for less crowded meetings.
A pleasant and relaxing stay is ensured by the well equipped and quiet 172 rooms, three restaurants with international and typical cuisine, and a Fitness Centre offering indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish bath and possible personalized treatments. A prestigiuous accomodation for Conference participants and their companions as well. Grand Hotel is located in Tivoli, a quit little town just east of Rome in an area of historical sites with ancient villas and charming panoramas. Tivoli was already famous during the Roman Empire's age when emperor Hadrian used to enjoy its pure air and thermal springs of the Tiburtinian Hills.

There are important tourist attractions in Tivoli. Villa Adriana, build to be the summer residence of the Emperor Hadrian between 118 and 134 A.D., is one of the most attracting trace of ancient civilization, a heritage of ancient Rome. Villa D'Este, designed by Pirro Ligorio and Giacomo della Porta in the 1500s has more than hundred fountains (most famous the Bernini's Bicchierone Fountain) and lovely terrace gardens. Villa Gregoriana has a wonderful 108 meters water fall and, away from 500 meters from the hotel, you may award yourself with a stay to Terme (Spa), Acque Albule, whose therapeutic fame has been well known for centuries. The Spa offers four swimming pools with six thousand square meters total surface, a wellness centre newly refurbished and modern facilities including jogging circuits.
