Protocols for environmental sustainability: energy and plants perspectives

October 23, 2014 - Bologna - SAIE BolognaFiere

The topic of the next AiCARR national conference, to be held in Bologna within the SAIE exhibition, is directed to analyze opportunities that environmental sustainability protocols offer to designers, builders and operators of the building-plants systems to follow certification path  with the aims to improve the energy performance in new construction buildings and in recovery of existing ones.

The achievement of objectives of energy efficiency and reduction of climate-change emissions, also defined by recent EU directives, goes through an integrated design processes covering all aspects of sustainability defined by the different protocols and also provides management of the construction process (commissioning) and subsequent monitoring of the performance of the building system.

Invited papers will cover the following aspects:

Critical analysis of certification protocols (prof. P. Baggio)

The role of energy simulations (Prof. V. Corrado),

The commissioning as a tool in the service of the certification process (Ing. L. Piterà).

Free papers
will focus in particular on case-studies and practical experiences where protocols certifications (such as LEED and ITHACA) have been applied, highlighting the potential and limitations of the assessment procedures provided by the standards.

The conference includes oral presentations of about 15 min and a poster session with a short presentation of the results reported in the papers.

Inside the conference is expected to be presented cultural activities and latest editorials of AiCARR, as well as the award of the Degree Thesis.
