From the activity of AiCARR-ASHRAE Group was born the Seminar in English “Commissioning and Retrofit of Existing Buildings”.

The Seminar is open to all the stakeholders, with the exception of the final part, starting from 6.30 p.m., that will be reserved for AiCARR-ASHRAE Group members. It will analyze the Commissioning process in the retrofit of existing buildings thanks to the intervention of some among the best experts on the subject, such as Walter Grondzik, Professor and ASHRAE Fellow,  Ubaldo Nocera, Freelancer and AiCARR Board Member, and Andrés Sepùlveda, P.E. and ASHRAE Member, who will propose the US, Italian and European views of Commissioning.

Commissioning, that in the most common definition is identified as "a systematic, documented and collaborative process including inspection, testing and training conducted to confirm that a building and its component systems meet the requirements of the occupants and conform to the design intent", is a process of Anglo-Saxon origin that is developing also in Italy.

Thanks also to the fruitful relationships with ASHRAE, CIBSE and REHVA, AiCARR has the role of reference association for the Commissioning sector in Italy, with the organization of workshops, publication of Guide V of the AiCARR technical series and with the proposal of courses and certification exams by AiCARR Formazione.
