EN: Building energetic management

IT: La gestione energetica degli edifici

The renewed interest to the energy management of buildings gives a hint to consider the cities under the energetic point of view, and the effort to define a new model able to change the existing structure and enables the consideration of the man-nature relation, currently facing a some difficulties. Given the relevance of the technical elements related to the energy, management and maintenance, those need to be faced so to combine technological innovation and architectural quality.

This book aims to provide the key factors of an accurate energy management of the building. The book is composed of three parts; starting from the thermal comfort, acoustics, lighting, and air quality auditing topic of the systems, it takes into consideration the concept of the energy saving to be pursued for (not against of) indoor comfort of the environments served by installation systems.

The second part addresses to operation and maintenance – deals with the check and the monitoring of the installation performance and new tools to be used above all in Public Administration, such as Energy performance contracts.

The third part develops general principles of energy management and presents the role of energy labelling in the building renovation.

Last chapter deals with energy policy that, on a urban scale, suggests the introduction of a new important challenge in big cities: distributed energy generation.
