Comfort and energy savings of buildings: audit, metering, monitoring, building automation

October 15, 2015 - Bologna - SAIE 2015 Smart House Exibition - BolognaFiere

The focus of the world building is directed more towards the ability to act in order to improve the energy performance of existing buildings by improving the building envelope and systems and adopting innovative plant engineering solutions that could significantly reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling.

Although the building technological solutions have had a great evolution, motivations energy, sustainable and economic to performance targets extremely high (buildings NZEB), require a very accurate audit due to the complexity of the issues to be considered.

The 33rd AiCARR Conference of Bologna that will be held at SAIE Smart House Exhibition on the 15th of October 2015 aims to provide the tools to evaluate the existing building with relevant case studies.

First of all will be given more emphasis on energy audit, which is essential to address the designer and the builder to technical and economic methods "solid" in accordance with the new regulations national energy; the issues of metering and monitoring (energy, schedules, controls) will be addressed, not only in view of the allocation of consumption, but also as tools to support the post-construction diagnosis and management of the building-plant, joined the comfort using the building automation systems.

In all reports, these topics will be discussed that allow to present the findings of building monitoring and energy audits and to highlight results concerning to energy and economic solutions for retrofitting on the building envelope and the plant system, on the improvement of the control systems and the ability to efficiently use systems with renewable energy sources. The conference topics will provide inspiration for a panel discussion that will involve designers, manufacturing companies and representatives of institutions, in order to encourage and promote the launch of regulatory tools that could facilitate actions on existing buildings.
