Giuseppe Piazza         
Baritone
                    

He graduated in Political Sciences at the University of Padua: his thesis work was about Business and Opera Management. Then he attended a master in Management, Art and Culture at the Catholic University (Milan).
He studied singing with the soprano Rosanna Lippi. Since 1997 he has been performing in operas and concerts, dedicating himself to the sacred and chamber repertoire as well. In 2005 he reached the final at the International singing contest of Lignano Sabbiadoro.
He sang “Carmina Burana” and Louis Vierne’s “Messe solennelle” in Tuscany; he played Fiorello in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, the Imperial commissary in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”, the Commission agent in Verdi’s “Traviata” at the theatres of Padua, Adria and Lonigo (conductor: Francesco Esposito). In “Traviata” he also played the roles of Baron Duphole and Marquis d’Obigny; he played the Sacristan and Sciarrone in Puccini’s “Tosca”, Marullo in Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, Montano in Verdi’s “Otello”, Schaunard in Puccini’s “La Bohème” (Teatro Sociale di Mantova, Lignano Sabbiadoro), Morales in Bizet’s “Carmen” (Padova), Silvio in Leoncavallo’s “I Pagliacci”, Colas in Mozart’s “Bastian und Bastienne”, the Poet in Salieri’s “Prima la musica, poi le parole” (Teatro Olimpico, Vicenza), Slook in Rossini’s “La cambiale di matrimonio”, Leporello in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, Count Gil in Wolf-Ferrari’s “Il segreto di Susanna”. In June 2004 he played the title role in the première of contemporary opera “Pimpinione” by M° Rolle, which was staged at the Conservatory “Pedrollo” (Vicenza); he also sang in a Lieder recital for Conservatory Pedrollo’s Concert season.
In 2005 he performed Schubert’s Mass in G (D167) and the “Elegy for hanged men in Bassano” by Silvio Omizzolo at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, where he also sang in a concert, which was organized by the University of Padua.
He recently performed the Lieder cycle “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” by Mahler and was a prominent figure in a concert dedicated to the Holocaust at the "Theatre La Fenice" in Venice.
He recorded “Per le tre ore di agonia di nostro signore” by Giuseppe Gazzaniga (first performance in modern times) for the Rainbow Classics company.

Patrizia Quarta
Piano

Patrizia Quarta began her piano studies as a child at the Conservatory “Tito Schipa” (Lecce).  She then brilliantly graduated at the Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” (Rome) under the direction of M° Sergio Cafaro. She has attended several masterclasses (in such musical institutions as Accademia Chigiana di Siena, Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Accademia Musicale Pescarese, Accademia Spagnola di Roma, Sagra Musicale Umbra, Centro Internazionale di interpretazione musicale di Imola), as a soloist as well as in chamber ensembles; she especially dedicated herself to piano accompanying and she always met with both critics and audience’s favour. In 1979 she won the competition “Città di Osimo”; she has  subsequently earned following prizes: “Premio Internazionale Tito Schipa”, “Targa d’oro Giacomo Lauri Volpi”, “Targa d’oro Beniamino Gigli”, “Targa d’oro Gianna Pederzini”.
Patrizia Quarta is very interested in working with opera singers  during recitals, competitions and concerts: she prides herself on a long experience as a piano accompanist with famous conductors.
She was the official repetiteur during following voice competitions: “A Life for Opera” (from 1987 till 1992), “Vincenzo Bellini”, “Tito Schipa” “Giuseppe di Stefano”, “Concorso di Spoleto”.  During her career she worked together with Renato Bruson, Katia Ricciarelli, Criss Merrit, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Leo Nucci; in addition to that, her live concerts with Mariella Devia, Rolando Panerai, Christian Yohanson, Piero Cappuccilli, Nicola Martinucci, Magda Olivero and others were recorded by RAI; she recorded many CDs with other companies and broadcasting stations as well.
Currently she serves as repetiteur at the “Arena di Verona” opera house.
